Several years back I purchased and installed an EU3000is on the rear bumper of my travel trailer. Recently I purchased a SunGenie Remote Starter kit and installed it. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. The kit did not have a template for installation of the choke servo; however, I was able to determine the proper location for drilling the 3 holes in the air filter enclosure for installation of the servo. Proper location of the servo is important because of the minimal clearance between the installed servo and the manual choke support bracket.
Was able to operate the generator with the remote on the first attempt. I could start and stop the generator from within the house while the generator was located in my garage (distance of 30 feet with a separating wall).
Would suggest for cold generator starts the generator battery be fully or near fully charged with ample amp hour capacity. Having a battery that can not take a full charge or a battery with reduce amp hour capacity may impact the operation of the servo; i.e. the servo will not keep the choke closed due the battery voltage level lowering when the generator starter, starts.
Over all I'd recommend this product if you?re looking at a remote start for your EU3000is.
